What's it good for- Skylar Mays

War is one of those things that has the potential to solve one problem while others worse. You could go to war with another country because you're completely sick of how they keep raising the price of their fruits that you import. You just don't want to pay $20 dollars for bananas so you go to war. You risk the lives of others and borrow billions of dollars from other countries to pay for weapons and put your country into debt all over these fruits. It seems a little excessive. But if you look at a whole other situation, war is the only thing that makes sense. Like if you and some hundreds of thousands of friends want to break away and form your own country because you don't believe in the rights you were being given, or lack there of; it won't be done using a strongly worded letter and some boats. Your mother country is at a loss of citizens, territory, possibly a decline in economic stability. So they're not going to let you just leave without a fight;which is an acceptable time for a war. You're fighting for what you believe in and its the only possible way you have a chance of getting it. I think that's the only acceptable time for war. Fighting for what you believe in.
