On This Date Skylar Mays

I'm not exactly sure the extent which this is considered appropriate, but these blog posts seem to be a little more relaxed so I'm going to choose the date September 29th, 1997. I was conceived. My parents make it a point to tell me every single time we're on our way to Cincinnati and pass the Raddison hotel at which it happened. Not going to lie, this was the birthplace of my existence and not only affected my life but also that of my parents. I'm not an only child; I have two brothers, but we have different dads. My mom and my dad were not married at the time, and as you could imagine, I was a surprise. If it hadn't been for me my parents may have not gotten married. Personally, I'm glad they did but who knows what could have happened had they not. They may have had the opportunity to have a better life without me or without eachother. But isn't that the case with most things? We just have to believe that we made the right decision, and if not, it is up to us to fix things or live with them without complaints.
