Assignment 9 -Michael Dickson

War goes back a long way. Too long in my opinion. War is never the answer, NEVER. However I do believe that there are certain circumstances in which war is the only option. But, when it is the only option that does not justify the act. The only circumstances (in my opinion) where war is the only option is when there is an unprovoked attack. Under normal circumstances diplomacy would be the only option that should be pursued, but after an attack the only option is war. This is the only option because if they attacked once, they will do it again, and no amount of diplomacy will stop that. So the only thing you can do is to fight them off. However, as I said before, this does not justify the act. Killing is not a just act. Unfortunately, it is sometimes a necessary act, but never is it righteous.
