Flying turkeys- Johnathan Morris

Thanksgiving for me is almost identical to that portrayed in the movies. My grandma, mom and aunt all talk about what's been going on in their lives while preparing the food. While the guys and little kids are in the basement playing ping pong and watching football. My grandma then calls us up when it's ready and we gather around the tables and try not to fall asleep while grandma unleashes a 5 minute prayer. After that we indulge on all the common thanksgiving food options. While the adults sit in the dining room and probably brag about who's children are better, the children sit in the kitchen and have conversations that don't belong at the dinner table. Once everyone is done grandma brings out dessert and we all force various pies into our already full stomachs. Then we gather around the living room and have half asleep conversations reminiscing on good times until we all decide to go home and sleep for the next 15 hours.
