Assignment 8: "I never had to choose my subject- my subject rather chose me" - Thomas Stokes

Territories-
Fears: Spiders, failing grades
Annoyances: Yelling, pets shedding (getting all over everything)
Accomplishments: Top 8'ing Theros Game Day, Winning a Pokemon Tournament
Confusions: People getting upset at games
Sorrows: Lots of homework
Dreams: Being good at games
Idiosyncrasies: Being good at games
Risks: Not many. I drop my 3DS a lot though
Beloved Possessions: Computer (now), gamecube (then), M:tG cards (now)
Problems: Procrastination

I don't think I've had a more stressful or intense moment to date. There I was, 6 mountains, Boros Reckoner, and Fanatic of Mogis on the battlefield, Chandra's Phoenix in the graveyard, a Lightning Strike in hand. My opponent has a much more developed board state than mine. He has all the land he needs, an Ætherling and Ashiok on  his battlefield, and plenty of cards in his hand. His Ashiok is slowly twisting my library away, his Ætherling hits me for 8 more points of damage, and then he untaps it. My turn. I draw another mountain, I can't believe I drew another mountain. I only have 7 life, but he's at 6. I play the mountain, and tap two of my mountains, cast Lightning Strike targeting his Ætherling, but he exiles it for the turn to save it, and Im able to swing in for the kill. I've made it, Top 8. Sadly, in the next round I'm eliminated, but I still got my Phalanx Leader promo!
