Flying Turkeys- Skylar Mays

My parents grew up at different sides of the spectrum. To say so in the least, my mom's side of the family is absolutely insane and probably narcissistic. My dad's side on the other hand is really old- fashioned and OCD. To say so in the least, we have separate gatherings, including Thanksgiving. We had Thanksgiving with my mom's side about two weeks ago because that was the only time my mom could come in town. It was alright even though my cousin didn't come, nor one of my brothers, nor my other brother entirely. This past Thursday we had generally more people although I'm pretty much all burned out from Thanksgiving food. It's also incredibly difficult to get along with all of my family at once. I've never met a more diverse group of people with different interests. Not mention the fight my parents seem to always get in before people actually get to my house. Cooking seems to put a lot of stress on my mom and my dad has gotten into a weird habit of seeing how little he has to do before my mom snaps. It's casual though.
