Technology is just like any other tool humanity has made. It evolves to fit our needs as we grow and change ourselves. And because of that I believe we will develop technology to be faster, capable of doing more, and in many cases smaller. Let's take computers for an example. Back when they were first invented, they were large CPUs hooked up to even larger monitors that rivaled some TVs. Fast forward 38 years later, people are walking around with the same thing in their pockets except that the one in our pocket is far stronger and more versatile than what we had.
The evolution of technology may also affect how we interact with one another. It already has with the creation of such things as Skype, Facetime, or even Snapchat and Twitter. Being able to communicate with someone over long distances without having to drive/fly who knows how many miles just to have a simple conversation is a huge innovation.
