Since your prompt discussed Steve Jobs, I'll stick to more modern technology. Technology, when used correctly and in the right hands, is a powerful and versatile tool. Personally, it has had a huge impact on the way I consume the arts. Any song, movie, book, etc. is instantly at my fingertips. I think I can say with some confidence that many of us have probably seen more movies in our meager 16-17 years than someone born in the early to mid 20th century would have seen in their lifetime. Technology allows us to consume information and entertainment at an incredible rate, thus removing the limits on our knowledge that we had as recently as the last century. I am very pleased that I don't have to worry about not being able to see a movie because it's not playing in my local theater or a band because they're not coming to our city. Technology also increases the quality and flexibility of many of these mediums. Most music today would have been impossible to make a long time ago. Special effects are now a major part of mainstream cinema. These limitless possibilities allow for fantastic and revolutionary pieces of art that never cease to maze us. This is how technology has positively affected my life, and I couldn't be happier.
