Help - Charlie Payne

I've enjoyed every English class I've taken in my high school career so far. Despite my lack of faith in the staying power and influence of nonfiction writing, I think it's definitely a solid skill to have because it forces students to analyze and deconstruct the information they are consuming, which can be useful for not only various career paths but also general enjoyment and fulfillment in life. I think this English class was my favorite one though, simply because I felt like I learned the most about my own writing in it. The timed writings were very helpful practice for the AP exam, and the critiques we did of each other's were helpful for me personally in improving my essays. The Socratic seminars I felt were also a fun and fresh exercise, despite the overly-constructed writing parts, which became somewhat intrusive when trying to develop my thoughts, but I can understand why they're necessary. Another reason I enjoyed the class so much was because I felt more connected to you as the instructor, as well as a person. I always get more out of teacher-student relationships that are more mutually respectful as opposed to  master-underling things.
