1. Write and film two more (short) films. I made one last year, and to be honest, I had to rush it due to some confusion about deadlines. It was really fun and fulfilling to put a story to film, especially one I had written myself. I'm really excited to do mine for film class this year and I might do one for my mentoring project next year to submit to colleges.
2. Go on a cross-country road trip, probably for skiing. I absolutely love just driving the open roads and looking at the beautiful scenery this country has to offer. I want to travel a lot in college, and I definitely want to do it by car so as not to miss it. I also just love skiing and the mountains in general. I also will probably drive to all the big film festivals on this side of the Atlantic if I can afford it. Reading about all the great movies at Sundance this week has made me really want to go sometime in my life.
3. To quote Whiplash's Andrew Neiman, I want to be one of the greats. I want to be remembered for something (like we all do). I want to make a great movie, break a record, or just do something memorable in general. This is something that I suppose everyone wants to do, but as someone who wants to be a filmmaker, I'm really gonna go for it. I want to make something that people will remember, be it for its comedy or emotional resonance.
