How to assemble a computer. It's quite simple really. It's like an expert-level-LEGO-kit that costs a bunch more money and is super easy to break.
I'm going to work under the assumption that if you're building a computer you know what the terms mean and have already gathered all the necessary parts.
A Precursor and constant step) Make sure you're grounded. This means making sure you have no static on you, and that you aren't wearing any conductive materials.
Phase 1) Assemble case
Step 1) Place power supply in the case, screw it in, and plug it in. DON'T TURN IT ON. Plugging it in helps with grounding issues and keeps it safer.
Step 2) Screw in any necessary spacers for the motherboard and remove any dust from inside the case
Phase 2) Assemble motherboard.
Step 1) Place processor in the motherboard and pull the arm to lock it in place
Step 2) Apply thermal paste to processor
Step 3) Attach heat sink to the processor + thermal paste
Step 4) attach motherboard to the case via the screw in points
Phase 3) Wiring + Cable management!
Step 1) Check motherboard manual for DC/AC attach points for front panel and motherboard connection points
Step 2) Plug everything into the correct slots
Step 3) close case
Phase 4) finishing touches
Step 1) Place computer into desired spot
Step 2) Plug it in, plug in all input devices.
Step 3) Install all proper drivers
Step 4) ???
Step 5) profit
